Short  description of "Villa Roberto"
Villa Roberto has a history that covers over a century. Built in the nineteenth century, it was partly destroyed after the earthquake of 1908 that struck Messina and Reggio Calabria, and later restored in Liberty style in 1910 by Cav. Federico Fritz Roberto.
Crossing the gate you will immediately be enchanted by the facade of the villa surrounded by greenery, monumental fountains and marble statues. Villa Roberto has a considerable one century-old park of 16.000 square meters, with a beautiful pond and  very well-kept gardens. The "Belvedere" terrace-garden offers an incomparable view of the Lakes of Ganzirri and the Straits of Messina.
Inside the villa you can admire beautifully well preserved halls named after the colors of the furnishings: the red hall, the celestial living room, the yellow hall are beautiful rooms covered with damask that immerse the visitor in a "gattopardiana" atmosphere.
